I haven’t gotten around to writing a prompt that asks if you want to make PDFCabinet your default PDF viewer when you open the application… so until then do this:
1. Control click on any PDF document and select “Get Info”
2. Under “Open with,” select PDFCabinet then click “Change All…”
PDFCabinet beta is here!
PDFCabinet is like Preview, but it lets you open documents up in separate tabs. Also, you can create a workspace with folders to organize your documents.
It’s definitely still in the developmental stages, so expect to see a few bugs.
Here’s a screenshot:

Features Coming Soon:
- Search multiple documents
- Better drag and drop support (drag and drop between workspaces, drag tabs out of the current window, more)
If you find any bugs or have any ideas for new features send me an email (pdfcabinet at gmail do t com) or post on the site!
PDFCabinet is a lightweight PDF viewer for OS X. It use the same rendering engine as Preview, but it brings some nice new features to the table.
PDFCabinet is currently undergoing Alpha testing. I’ve been getting some good feedback so far, and assuming there are no major setbacks I’ll start a public beta in October.
